Bolivian Majao Recipe:

Ingredients:

6 cups of water

9 ounces of charque shredded beef

5 ounces white rice

1/2 cup chopped tomato

1 sliced onion

5 tablespoons EVOO

1 teaspoon paprika

1/half cup beef broth

1 teaspoon salt

Directions: Boil the charque then add salt and rice.  Cook on medium heat for 20 minutes.  In a separate dish heat the olive oil and add the meat and fry it until it starts to brown and then remove from heat.  Add the onion and stir together.  Add paprika, salt and tomato and broth.  Let them cook together for five minutes and finally add the fried meat and mix together.  Mix with the rice and top it off a fried egg and yuca.
